Earth, Sun and Moon








Our next topic is the Earth, Sun and Moon! Your task is to find out some interesting facts about a planet of your choice. You can choose from: MERCURY, VENUS, EARTH, MARS, JUPITER, SATURN, URANUS, NEPTUNE. Present your facts in a factfile using subheadings and pictures.

  1. Jupiter

    * It has a giant storm that has been for more than 150 years
    * lo is one of Jupiters moons and is covered in orange and yellow blotches so it looks like a pizza in space. The blotches are made by hot liquid that comes from volcanoes.
    * It is the biggest planet in the solar system.
    * It is 11times as wide as earth .
    * It is the king of all planets.
    * Jupiter has a aurora on the top and bottom.
    * It has a layer of clouds 50km thick, gaseous hydrogen, liquid hydrogen, helium neon rain ,metallic hydrogen and an ice and rock core.

  2. Jupiter

    Jupiter is the largest of all the planets in the Solar System and is the fifth away from the sun. Jupiter is in a group of planets called the Gas Giants which means made of gas and is very large. Jupiter also has a gigantic storm that has been raging for over 100 years. DID YOU KNOW that Jupiter was named after the Roman king of the gods.

  3. Mars is the second nearest planet to earth. It is a little bit like earth.Mars is the fourth planet from the sun.It takes 687 days to complete its orbit.Mars is 6.786 km in diameter. It's called the Red Planet and is the hottest planet.

    Jupiter is the largest of all the planets but not bigger than the sun. On Jupiter tere is a big spot called the red spot. Jupiter is the fourth closest planet to the sun. Jupiter also has more than seven moons. DID YOU KNOW that jupiter is all made of gas that even spaceship cannot

  5. Jupiter is the biggest planet in our whole solar system!It is also called a " Gas Giant ." It has 67 moons next to it including Io ,Europa, callisto ! its effective temprature is -148 degrees celcies
